LINENSPA 10 Inch Latex Hybrid Mattress Details

Firmness 6-7 (a bit close to the firm side)

LINENSPA 10 inch latex hybrid mattress is a firm mattress with a soft surface. That means you feel soft first and then you land on the firm layer. It gives you a little cushy feel and firm support. You don’t have any problem with sleeping on your side and stomach. As mentioned previously, it’s not that kind of mattress make you feel sleep in the cloud because it doesn’t allow you to sink in much. But one thing I want you to keep in your mind that your body size and shape in large part decide what you feel. Large people find firm where skinny people may find soft. It’s super difficult for create an accurate rating for all.

Specifications

Comfort is mainly built based on constructions and specifications. Let’s check specs of this Linenspa 10 inch mattress. Product descriptions out there don’t tell us coil counts, a very important spec to a spring mattress. But their customer service mention the queen size has 390 coils (390 coils in queen mattress? I mean, are you sure?) and the steel gauge is 13.5. Coil counts and gauge have a direct effect on the feel and durability. More coils tend to provide more support and more comfort. To help you have a straightforward idea, I collected some mattresses information and compared queen size. You can

  • Classic Brands Gramercy 13 gauge + 768 coils
  • Saatva 13-14.5 gauge + 1300 coils
  • Signature Sleep Contour 15 gauge + 480 coils
  • Signature Sleep Signature 13.5 gauge + 744 coils
  • Zinus Sleep Master 12 gauge + 690 coils
  • Dream Foam spring Dreams 15 gauge + 660 coils

Compared with these models, the spec isn’t outstanding competitors, even ranking behind. It can only provide average comfort and support, nothing special. It proves itself just a regular mattress. When you take account of the price, it couldn’t be one of top choices. If the price drops, it would be a great deal within the price range.

It’s a latex mattress?

No. This LINENSPA 10 inch mattress is described by the company as a latex hybrid mattress. It’s deceitful and misleading, making us believe it consists of latex and springs. But the materials tell us the truth. All layers are including 1 inch fast response foam quilted into the cover, 2 inch support foam latex (fast response foam, transition foam, dunlop latex) and 7 inch pocket coils. How much latex can we get from this mattress? It’s laying in the center where we will never touch. I think it should be named LINENSPA 10 inch foam spring hybrid mattress. That would be more accurate.

Some people probably want to know more about the latex, like is it synthetic or organic? I would suggest you to forget it. What such a thin piece of latex hidden under three foam layers can bring us is really very limited, even if it’s the best latex in the world. Some owners have a misconception that it was bouncy and responsive due to latex. From my perspective, the fast response foam contributes more.

All I explained above isn’t to tell you the mattress is a scam. I just want to let you know that it’s an average or regular mattress. It doesn’t have any magic and secret inside.

Made in China

All LINENSPA mattresses are made in China and it’s the primary reason why they are so cheap. But the trade war between US and China has begun and tariff of lots of products imported from China are raised. It will change the mattress industry and we will witness mattresses going up. It leads to price rising among mattresses made in US. Based on current situation, all brands will raise their price in early 2019.
