From Nature’s Sleep, this memory foam mattress provides medium to firm supportive feel. It’s very close to what consumers feel. If we give it a firmness rating on a scale of soft being 1 and hard being 10, it would be 7 or 8. The rating means it’s a firm mattress with a thin soft top. You will feel a little bit cushy first and after a few seconds your body will get strong support from the whole mattress. Gel memory foam contributes a lot to that feel, especially in colder days. This kind of material is temperature sensitive. It will get firmer as the temperature lowers and become softer when it’s getting warm. That being said, it will be a comfortable mattress for people who like firm bed. If you like the cloud-like feel, I think you need to look further.
No trial period
Nature’s Sleep doesn’t offer trial period for their mattresses. It leaves risk to their customers. We take risk and buy Nature’s Sleep mattresses without a test drive. If we don’t like it or feel uncomfortable, we can’t return and get our money back. But it’s very common that brands in this industry are providing at least 30 days free return window, some even doing 90 or 120 days. Manufacturers take risk away so we don’t lose anything when we do business with them. As Nature’s Sleep customer service said, products sold on Amazon.com are eligible for 30 day return, but only for unopened and unused mattresses. Ridiculous policy! How can we know if we like their products without opening it? Unlike some brands, Nature’s Sleep sells mattresses both online and off-line I guess they may want consumers to buy their mattresses in local stores.

Nature’s Sleep gel memory foam mattress is a very basic series of mattresses, nothing special included. But the price isn’t competitive compared with other brands. Even if we don’t compare it with Zinus, the price of this series is much higher than some US made mattresses. If you do some search, you will find better options for the money, thicker mattress with thicker gel memory foam like Sleep Innovations Marley 10-inch. Why not make full use of benefit of being made in China and offer a competitive price? I don’t understand.

Sleeping hot?
Gel memory foam has been advertised as a solution to sleeping hot issue and is promised to ensure a cooler night sleep. But the truth is it’s not a great technology working for all people.
